Arch Mortgage Insurance dac, Dublin, completed a capital relief transaction on a EUR 3 billion subset of a residential mortgage loan portfolio of ING DiBa AG. The deal is the first of its kind in the European mortgage market and represents a valuable new tool for financial institutions in managing their regulatory capital.
Led by partner Stefan Krauss (Finance, Frankfurt) Hengeler Mueller advised Arch Mortgage Insurance dac on the transaction.
