Our banking supervision and financial markets regulation practice advises companies "from the cradle to the grave". We can assist and support you in incorporation and licensing as well as corporate governance matters, in the outsourcing or insourcing of important functions, in joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, and in transferring complex multinational portfolios and business units. We can also advise you on internal investigations and compliance matters as well as in administrative and judicial proceedings and in crisis situations within the context of restructurings, reorganisations and, if the situation arises, liquidation or insolvency procedures.

We have played, and still play, a substantial role in bank restructuring and in the financial sector's leading compliance cases of the past few years.

We provide advice to German and foreign private banks as well as to public and cooperative banks, development banks, investors, public authorities, government departments and ministries. We are in close contact with the ECB, the German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority and other public authorities about the implementation of new regulatory regimes such as the SSM Regulation, the SRM Regulation, the German Recovery and Resolution Act (Sanierungs- und Abwicklungsgesetz), CRR/CRD IV, the German Capital Investment Code (Kapitalanlagegesetzbuch), EMIR, and the German Remuneration Regulation for Institutions (Institutsvergütungsverordnung).
