Fresenius Helios has signed a binding agreement to purchase the majority of Rhön-Klinikum AG’s hospitals, acquiring 43 hospitals with a total of approximately 11,800 beds as well as 15 outpatient facilities. The purchase price of EUR 3.07 bn will be entirely debt-financed.
Hengeler Mueller advised Fresenius SE & Co. KGaA on the structuring of the transaction.
